Mobile Ticketing trial begins with Turkcell
14 November 2005, Istanbul
The trial, which had started early December 2005, enabled Turkcell customers to use their mobile phones to gain access to a Ferry network in Istanbul and near cities. As a result, travelers can enjoy a convenient and secure solution designed around their needs to buy tickets with their mobile phones. The ticketing solution was demonstrated at the CEBIT Eurasia - 2005 show in Istanbul (3-11 September).
By enabling Indefia's Krypton™ application platform and Krypton MTT-120™ mobile ticketing terminals Turkcell subscribers purchases their ferry tickets over an easy-to-use effective WAP interface. The ticket is delivered to customer over Mobile ticketing terminals installed in ferry terminals.
Indefia Mobile Ticketing Terminals provide a quick and easy-to-use solution for ticketing
and payment applications. These terminals, coupled with Indefia’s Krypton™ mobile
ticketing application platform, contain all the functions of mobile ticketing lifecycle such as
ticket validation, printing and remote management. Indefia Ticketing Terminals are
offered in two different models to suit every application. Desktop model can be placed on
contours and tables etc. It has no ticket drop box, and occupies less space. The kiosk
version on the other hand can be placed anywhere, it has a ticket drop box. The only
cabling requirement for both models is a mains power supply at 220 Volts.
Indefia Ticketing Terminals are the key devices to build a mobile ticketing application
which provide a complete ticketing system to securely sell, deliver and redeem ticket by
using wireless technologies.
